Help Feed People in Need

About

Food donation is one of the most meaningful ways to serve others, and ISKCON Kurukshetra makes it simple for anyone who wishes to take part. Rooted in the Vedic tradition of annadanam, the gift of food, the temple’s food donation programme provides freshly cooked, wholesome vegetarian meals to people in need across the Kurukshetra region. Every meal is prepared with devotion and strict cleanliness, offered to Lord Krishna, and then distributed as prasadam to daily wage workers, pilgrims, elderly citizens, and underprivileged families.

The inspiration behind this service comes from Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, who wished that no one within ten miles of a temple should go hungry. The Kurukshetra centre carries this vision forward by combining spiritual practice with practical compassion. For many recipients, a warm meal is not just nourishment but a reminder that someone cares.

Donors can contribute in several ways. You may sponsor a single meal or a full day’s distribution, or make an offering on a birthday, anniversary, or in memory of a loved one. Many devotees also choose to give during festivals, while others set up regular monthly donations for lasting impact. Contributions can be made online through the temple’s website, so supporters living anywhere in India or abroad can take part without travelling. Those visiting Kurukshetra are also welcome to join in person and witness the seva first-hand.

Kurukshetra is the sacred land where Lord Krishna delivered the Bhagavad Gita, and serving food here carries a special spiritual significance. Each contribution, however small, helps place a nourishing meal in someone’s hands and brings blessings to the giver’s family as well. To donate, visit the ISKCON Kurukshetra website or contact the temple team directly. Join this mission of service and help ensure that no one in the holy land goes hungry.
